What we believe shapes how we live, love, and follow Jesus. These core truths guide our faith and our church family.
At The Life Church Christian Center, our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ. They are not just theological statements—we believe these truths shape how we worship, how we treat people, and how we live out our faith daily. These beliefs unite us as a church family and provide a firm foundation for spiritual growth, discipleship, and transformation.
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.
God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
God is great. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. In Him we live, move, and have our being. God is good. He is our Father—loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
Jesus Christ is completely human and completely God. He is the only way to restore a right relationship between people and God. Jesus lived a perfect life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin. Through His death and resurrection, He defeated sin and death so that we may have life.
The Holy Spirit assures believers of their relationship with Christ. He guides us into all truth, glorifies Christ, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and comforts God’s people. The Holy Spirit empowers believers with spiritual gifts and helps us become more like Christ.
Human beings were created to exist forever. Each person will exist either eternally separated from God because of sin, or eternally united with God through forgiveness and salvation. Eternal separation from God is hell, and eternal union with Him is heaven. Heaven and hell are real and eternal.
Humanity is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. People were created to live in fellowship with God but became separated from Him through sin. Because of this separation, humanity cannot restore its relationship with God through its own efforts. Every person is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
Salvation is a gift from God made possible through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. It comes only through faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection as the payment for sin. Salvation cannot be earned by good works or human effort—it is received by grace through faith.
The Church is a local community of baptized believers united by faith in Jesus Christ. The Church is committed to the teachings of Christ, obedience to His commands, and sharing the Gospel with the world. The Church works together in love and unity for the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
